What Season Are You In?
Life has a way of changing without asking for permission.
One day, everything feels familiar. The next, you're navigating a new job, a new relationship status, an empty nest, a caregiving role, a loss, a dream you've delayed, or a chapter you never expected to write.
The truth is that we all experience seasons.
Some seasons are filled with excitement and possibility. Others require patience, healing, courage, or simply the strength to keep moving forward one day at a time.
Maybe you're in a season of starting over.
Maybe you're rediscovering yourself after years of putting everyone else first.
Maybe you're grieving something that didn't work out the way you hoped.
Maybe you're finally stepping into something you've prayed about for years.
Or perhaps you're somewhere in between—not quite where you were, but not yet where you're going.
I've learned that every season has something to teach us.
The challenge is that while we're living through it, we often want answers before we've gathered the lessons.
We want clarity before we've taken the first step.
We want certainty before we've embraced the process.
But growth rarely works that way.
As I've reflected on my own journey—through loss, caregiving, entrepreneurship, reinvention, and personal growth—I've come to appreciate the value of honoring the season I'm in instead of rushing toward the next one.
That's one of the reasons I wrote - “Over It, But Still In It.”
Because sometimes we're healing and hurting.
Growing and grieving.
Moving forward while still processing where we've been.
And that's okay.
So today, I want to leave you with a simple question:
What season are you in?
Not the season others expect you to be in. Not the season you wish you were in.
But the season you're honestly experiencing right now.
Take a moment to reflect on it.
There may be more purpose, growth, and grace in this season than you realize.
